ABOUT SUSIE TURNER
Born and raised on a small farm in southern Idaho, Susie has always had a love of nature and the outdoors. After college, she made the Bay Area her home, and her early career was spent working for San Francisco retailers Esprit, Macy's, BeBe & Banana Republic. In the 90’s, Susie ignited her passion for plants and orchids while working for Smith & Hawken, on the orchid buying team. Susie left the corporate world after she started her family, and her home-based plant and orchid business was born in 1997 when she realized that her friends and neighbors loved plants and orchids as much as she did. Susie honed her skills, creating inspired orchid and succulent arrangements for homes and offices in her hometown of Mill Valley, and the surrounding area.
In 2007, she returned to her retail roots and launched her first store, Green Door Design in Mill Valley, specializing in custom orchid arrangements, interior plants, and succulents.
ABOUT GREEN DOOR DESIGN
Green Door Design is a local retail store and design studio - a living-plant Florist specializing in orchids, succulents, tillandsia air plants and indoor plants, along with a wide selection of containers - metal, wood, ceramic, stone/concrete and glass. Our unique, long lasting, succulent and orchid arrangements, are all made in-house by our studio design team. We also offer custom arrangements in your own containers, made specifically for the unique locations in your home. Onsite consultations and delivery to Marin County and Northern San Francisco.
